A Snapshot of a Day in Indian High School

Two weeks into her program, NSLI-Y Hindi summer participant, Lucy, reflected on a day at her host school. During the summer Lucy attended Emerald Heights International School in Indore, India. On Tuesday August 9, 2016, NSLI-Y students in Nanjing travelled via train to Shanghai for a meeting with U.S. Secretary of Education, John B. King, Jr., and other Department of Education officials. The meeting was held at the U.S. Consulate in the historic district in Shanghai, home to many embassies and historic mansions. NSLI-Y Student Reflects on Korean School Trip

Last April, NSLI-Y Korea Academic Year student Stacia went on a school field trip to Busan and Tongyeong with her classmates from her high school in Seoul. Stacia got to explore the cities with her classmates and interact with them through completing travel missions and playing games. It was a great experience of bonding with classmates and practicing Korean since there were no other English speakers on the trip. Having experienced a school trip in Korea, Stacia was able to reflect on the differences between American school trips and Korean school trips.Read More
